As part of the English Schools Foundation(ESF), our students are supported by the largest English-medium international school organisation in Hong Kong, providing them the resources and opportunities not found outside of ESF Schools.
Our caring leaders and dedicated team guide our school with high standards, personalised support, and compassionate, visible leadership - creating a nurturing environment where students thrive.
At Kennedy School, we spark students' curiosity, ignite their excitement, and support their growth - academically, socially, and personally. Our dedicated team nurtures each child's potential through diverse learning experiences, celebrating their success and fostering a warm, welcoming community.
We are so proud of our close, nurturing connection with Kennedy School families. The 'Kennedy spirit' makes our school a warm, safe and special place. We are thankful to our incredible staff, dedicated parents, and hardworking PTA and School Council - who ensure each student can be the best that they can be.
Our school is nestled in the quiet Pokfulam suburb, overlooking the South China Sea. In addition to our own facilities, students have access to the expansive sports complex at Hong Kong University’s Stanley Ho Centre, which we use extensively for games, extracurricular activities, swimming, and lunchtime play.
Our teachers and educational assistants work together to provide personalised learning for our students. We take time to know and understand each child's unique identity, strengths and needs. This allows us to celebrate the diversity in our classrooms and fosters a warm, inclusive environment where every student feels valued.
Our IB PYP curriculum framework sparks inquiry, collaboration, and curiosity, developing caring, creative thinkers who use their knowledge to understand and shape the world around them.
At Kennedy School, we celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion, embracing our community's evolving needs to create learning environments where every child belongs and thrives.
We immerse our students in nature, with field trips, outdoor learning, and eco-projects that inspire environmental stewardship from an early age - nurturing a sustainable future.
Our student leaders in Year 6 help to organise initiatives and share opinions and ideas for improvement while developing invaluable leadership skills - empowering them to make a meaningful difference.
Our vibrant after-school programmes and sports teams offer over 100 diverse experiences - developing skills, nurturing talents, and fostering collaboration with other schools.
Our primary students thrive at adventure camps and cultural immersion trips, honing teamwork, personal growth, and global perspectives - unforgettable highlights of their primary school years.
Performance is central at Kennedy School - from year-level showcases to choir, band, and cultural celebrations - nurturing confidence, creativity, presentation and a lifelong love of the arts.

My favourite thing about Kennedy School is all the nice and supportive teachers who helped me get to where I am now.

Kennedy School has the power to combine learning with fun and that is not an ability every school has. I will never forget how the teachers taught me using enjoyable and efficient methods

Since I joined in Year 3, things changed and it was like learning changed. Kids ran up to me greeting me. Everyone was kind and it’s truly a great place to learn.

We feel so fortunate to be a part of this incredible school community. The school’s open communication and transparency are truly refreshing. Class teachers are so capable and their commitment to developing the whole child (academically, socially, and emotionally) is unparalleled. My child always comes home buzzing with excitement showing his latest projects. We cannot imagine sending him anywhere else!

Kennedy School has a very special community, where children love going to school and parents feel welcomed. I never have to coax my kids to school, and they always come home so happy. The staff and teachers are supportive and kind, and the IB curriculum has really worked well for both of my children. Being able to use Stanley Ho grounds across the road for swimming, sports, and extra space is an added bonus!

Kennedy ESF is a very nurturing school that focuses not only on the children's academic achievements but also on supporting each child's emotional development and personal circumstances. The teachers create a warm and fun environment for the kids to achieve their goals at their own pace. The school also provides a diverse range of opportunities like inquiry play and field trips for the children to understand the broader world they live in.

What’s New at Kennedy School?
Artwork from Years 1.3,5 and 6 are on display at the annual ESF art exhibition! “Generations” celebrates the stories that connect us in paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces from ESF schools from K1 to Year 13 and is on till Sunday 22 June at City Hall in Central. Pop by to see their work!
𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟔 𝐏𝐘𝐏 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Our Year 6 students WOWed their parents and peers with their PYP Exhibition yesterday, the highlight of their primary school years. It was their passion project where they picked a real-world problem or passion and looked for opportunities to take action and make a difference. It was clear to all that they worked really hard to research, think critically, and communicate their ideas clearly. We are so impressed with how they have developed into confident and caring young people, ready to make a positive impact. Well Done Year 6!
When our Year 6 parents came to visit the PYP Exhibition last night, they were treated to a musical number that left the audience in tears. Watch it here! https://youtu.be/_jv5CkC3Ljk
Last Friday, our Year 4 students participated in a friendly robotics competition organised by ESF Renaissance College Hong Kong. Our students had a fantastic time challenging themselves to code and drive the VEX GO robots. A huge thank you to Renaissance College Hong Kong for hosting such a wonderful event!
In our final unit of inquiry of the year, the Year 4s are taking a deep dive into "How We Organise Ourselves" - the persuasion unit where we look at how NGOs operate to meet the needs of society. Andrea Richey from the Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 and Cathy Dannaoui from Hands On Hong Kong spoke with the Year 4s to develop an understanding of the difficulties and challenges these organisations face. Armed with this knowledge, the Year 4s will develop their ideal NGO to meet a specific global goal and persuade others to agree with their point of view. You've got this, Year 4!
Our CEO Belinda Greer came to school this morning to engage in dialogue with staff on ways to shape the future of ESF. She also spoke with our newspaper reporters for the next edition of the Kennedy Today Newspaper! What a lovely to way to start to Friday!
The Year 1s enjoyed visiting HK Forest Adventures to support their How the World Works unit and learn more about materials. They explored rock pools, made their own paint out of clay, built rafts to sail down the river to go fishing and created their own adventure playground out of large loose parts. They were amazing at being risk-takers and weren’t afraid to get a little wet and mucky as they investigated the outdoors!
This week, artist Gail Deayton came to Kennedy School to support the Year 5s in their investigation into ancient civilisations. Gail had them thinking about modern hieroglyphics with each class coming up with a sentence that reflected them. Each sentence had 30 characters in it - 1 per student. They then thought of an object that related to their heritage which they made as their hieroglyphic, like pizza, football and clovers. The symbols were then cut out and attached to cardboard and coloured with crayons. How many symbols can you recognise? Many thanks to the PTA for supporting this activity with funds from the Olympics themed Dress Up Day held earlier this year!
Well done to the 7 primary schools who took part in the HKPSSA Island Schools Racket Sports Tournament on Friday! Kennedy School welcomed Discovery Bay International School, Chinese International School 漢基國際學校, ESF Glenealy School ESF Quarry Bay School, Kellett School and German Swiss International School Hong Kong to our premises and neighbouring HKU to compete in mixed doubles teams for tennis, pickleball and table tennis. Many thanks also to the Year 10 students from ESF West Island School who helped us run the event! It was the 2nd time our school has hosted this friendly event, and it was a fabulous opportunity for all the schools to collaborate and work together.
